Job Description

·         Employment Location: 2700 Kipling Ave. suite Unit 1 Etobicoke, ON-M9V 4P2

·         Salary: $19.85 hourly

·         Hours:  40 hours per Week

·         Terms of employment: Permanent, Full time, Day, Evening, Morning, Weekend

·         Start date:  As soon as possible

·         Employer: Freshchoice Indian Supermarket

·         Employment Group: Indigenous, Newcomers and refugees

Job Details:

·         Language: English

·         Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

·         Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

·         On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

·         Work setting: Supermarket and meat department

·       Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail, Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Fast-paced environment, Handling heavy loads

·         Personal suitability: Team player, Accurate, Client focus, Judgement, Organized

Responsibilities

·         Clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting

·         Prepare special cuts of meat ordered by customers

·         Cut, trim and prepare standard cuts of meat

·         Wrap and package prepared meats

·         Sell meats to customers

·         Cut fish into steaks and fillets

·         Supervise other butchers, meat cutters and fishmongers

·         Train meat cutters

·         Slice cooked meats

·         Prepare special displays of meats, poultry and fish products

·         Shape, lace and tie roasts, other meats, poultry and seafood
